Welcome to the Ames High DECA website. DECA is an association of marketing students. It gives students first hand experience
in the business world. Through DECA students can network with other businesses and students in the community. Students
can compete in business related competitions. These competitions allow DECA members to apply what they've learned in the classroom
to actual everyday situations.

The 2007-2008 DECA members have completed many activities and tasks. Through the year we've been very active with community
service. Some of our biggest projects have been our Think Pink (Breast Cancer Awareness fundraiser), Ames High Star project,
local Shop with a Cop, and Youth and Shelter Services fundraisers.
Our
chapter has also attended many leadership conferences and competitons including, the Central Region Conference in Indianapolis,
DECA districts conference in Ames, Iowa, and the State competition in Des Moines, Iowa.
